Let’s be honest first: the Prague–Vienna train is genuinely good — direct, frequent, comfortable. If you are one or two people travelling light, take it. A private car earns its price when the train stops working for you: three or more travellers, a family with child seats, serious luggage, a wish to see Kutná Hora or the Lednice wine country on the way — or simply the wish to go from one door to the other without stations in between.

Travellers with limited mobility keep telling us — and each other — that a private car is the best way to do this journey: no platforms, no stairs, no dragging suitcases through a station. Your driver loads every bag and the car waits at both doors.

All-in means all-in: road tolls, vignettes, parking, waiting and card fees included. €519 for a V-Class van of four is ≈ €130 per person, door to door. You know exactly who is driving and what you will pay — no auction, no mystery car, no cash surprise on arrival.

Pay securely by credit card. We never ask for bank transfers. You pay exactly the price shown — your card is charged in the currency you choose, EUR or USD, with no conversion.

We Show Up

Once your booking is confirmed, we never cancel it — not for a smaller group, not for a better offer.

If we ever failed to show, you would get a full automatic refund to your card — not a voucher, not a negotiation — and we would still do everything we can to get you moving.

Fixed Price

The price you confirm is the price you pay — per vehicle, not per person, with tolls, parking, waiting and card fees included. It will not change on the day, and it will match your card statement to the cent.

If a surprise ever appears there, we refund the difference — no questions asked.

Questions travellers ask us

Is it cheaper than the train?

Honestly: for one or two people travelling light, usually not — the train is good and we say so. From three people the per-person math turns, and you are paying for door-to-door, luggage handled, child seats fitted and a scenic stop on the way.

Can we make a sightseeing stop on the way?

Yes — each route page lists its stops with the exact surcharge and the time you get there, before you book. No hidden extras in a widget.

Do you cross the border without extra fees?

Yes. The price is all-in: road tolls, vignettes, border crossing and parking are included. Nothing is added on the day.

Do you provide child seats and boosters?

Yes — guaranteed and free. The right seat for each child’s age and weight, confirmed in writing and fitted before pickup. “Usually available” is not in our vocabulary.

How do I pay? When is my card charged?

Pay securely by credit card. We never ask for bank transfers. Prices are published in both EUR and USD and your card is charged in the currency you choose — you pay exactly the price shown, with no conversion. At checkout you pay a 25% deposit or the full price; with a deposit, the balance is charged to the same card 48 hours before pickup — the moment free cancellation ends.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel free of charge until 48 hours before pickup — full refund to your card, not a credit. If your cruise line changes your itinerary — a different berth, low water, a new schedule — cancellation is free at any time; just forward us the notice.

Is Prague Storyways legitimate? How can I verify you?

Prague Storyways is operated by a Prague transport company founded in 2017 (Transport Artists s.r.o., ID 05890942). You can verify the company in the Czech public register, and your driver’s details reach you before travel.

Can you take us somewhere not listed?

Often yes — routes beyond this list are available on request. Email info@praguestoryways.com or call us with your itinerary and we will quote a fixed price the same way.
